MVC w/Entrapment - Old Summit Bridge Rd / Summit Bridge Rd

Monday February, 25 2013 @ 10:26:38 MVC with Entrapment (M29D4) Old Summit Bridge Rd / Summit Bridge Rd (Station 1 1ocal) The OFC was alerted to assist Stations 1/27 on an MVC with Entrapment at the above location. Engine-24 was returning from another alarm in the Middletown local when Fireboard redirected them to the MVC. Engine-24 arrived first on scene and requested the Heavy Rescue from OFC with heavy entrapment for 1 patient. Rescue-24 responded under Command of (Asst. Chief Trincia) and was on scene in 5 minutes. Rescue-24’s crew along with crews from Rescue/Engine 29-6 (Port Penn) and Volunteer Hose started working to cut the patient out of the truck using multiple Hurst & Holmatro rescue tools. Crew’s removed the roof of the truck and pushed the dash off of his lap however we noticed that both feet were wedged under his seat delaying his removal from the truck. It took firefighters 41 minutes to free him and he was flown to CER by DSP Trooper-4. Deputy-27 placed the scene under control at 1122 hrs OFC units: Engine 24, Rescue 24 and A-24 Rescue 27, Rescue/Engine 1-6, Engine 27-3, B-27, Rescue/Engine 29-6, ALS Medic 5, ALS 21 Del-Dot, DSP and Trooper 4
