On July 1, 2017 at 11:10 hours the Odessa Fire Company was alerted to an MVC with report of patient not alert on Route 1 southbound at the Drawers Creek Bridge. NCC Paramedics arrived on scene and determined a total of 5 vehicles were involved. Rescue 24 arrived on scene and assumed command.  A total of 4 patients were transported to an area hospital via Delaware State Police Helicopter Trooper 4 and ambulances from Volunteer Hose Company and Port Penn Fire Company. Rescue 24 crew conducted clean up operations. Units operated on scene for about 50 minutes.
