On Friday November 15, 2019 The Odessa Fire Company ambulance (B24) was alerted to respond for a vehicle off of the roadway into the woods. Upon arrival the ambulance crew discovered one vehicle off the road way with heavy damage to the vehicle and the driver trapped. The B24 crew alerted fireboard of the entrapment and requested to upgrade the call to include Paramedics and Rescue crews to respond. The crew from B24 got to work right away using a battery powered combi-tool to obtain access to the patient, while one EMT entered the vehicle to care for the patient. Rescue crews from Townsend (26) arrived on scene to assist with extraction of the patient. One patient was extracted and transported VIA Trooper 4 to Christiana Care in Newark in stable condition.
