The Odessa Fire Company graduated seven Cadets (ages 14-17) from Delaware State Fire Schools “Basic Firefighting Skills”. Students learned skills in hose handling, ropes & knots, power equipment, ground ladders, fire behavior, self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), and more. The course requires students to be in good physical shape to complete intense simulations. OFC's Cadets completed the requirements while being active in school sports/activities, maintaining Honor Roll status at their respective schools and participating in weekly training exercises.
