12:58hrs: Station 4/24 were alerted to assist Station 26(Townsend)on a Brush Fire. Units were sent to the area of DuPont Parkway and Summit Bridge Road for a L1*...Brush on Fire. 24-8-B(Getty) arrived on scene and cancelled Field Piece 24-0 and Tanker 24. Both units were backing into quarters when the New Castle County Communications Center dispatched Station 4/24 at 13:07hrs along with Half of N.C.C. Medic 5, Medic 6, ALS 25 and D.S.P. Trooper 4 to DuPont Parkway in the area of Spring Creek for a Motor Vehicle Crash with Rollover a M29D2P. Rescue 24 and BLS B-4 arrived on scene at 13:11hrs with a vehicle off the roadway. Field Piece 240 and Rescue/Engine 4-6 arrived at 13:15hrs. 24-Captain-1 Billings placed the scene under control at 13:22hrs.
US 13 Northbound was closed for over an hour.
15:13hrs The OFC was dispatched to DuPont Parkway at Lorewood Groove Road for a M29B1 a Motor Vehicle Crash with injuries. BLS B-4 and Rescue/Engine 4-6 arrived on scene to find a 3 vehicle crash with one vehicle needing a door removed to gain access. An additional BLS from Middletown was sent to the scene. 4-8-C (Fitzwater) placed the scene under control at 15:42hrs. Rescue 24 and Engine 24-3 along with several station Fire Police assisted on scene with several task including debris cleaning up.
US 13 Southbound was also closed for over an hour.
