MVC (M29B1) - Route 1 Northbound / Appoquinimink Creek

13:24hrs, The OFC and Station 26(Townsend) were dispatch to a Motor Vehicle Crash on Route 1 in the area of Appoquinimink Creek. BLS A-24 arrived on scene at 13:29hrs advising the communication center and incoming units that the crash involved a tractor trailer on its side. ALS Medic 5 and Aviation Trooper 4 from D.S.P. was sent to the scene. Rescue 24 with a crew of 5 under the command of Deputy Chief Vucci arrived on scene at 13:31hrs. Command was established and the tractor trailer was found to be carrying equipment used for removing hazards products. DNREC was contacted and the product was found to be non toxic. Haz-Mat 30(Belvedere) was requested to assist in a diesel leak. OFC units were in service for 2.5hrs. Haz-Mat 30 and DNREC were on scene for over 5 hours. Route 1 had several traffic restrictions during this incident. Units on scene: BLS A-24. N.C.C. Medic 5, D.S.P Aviation unit Trooper 4, ALS Commander 26, BLS C-26, Rescue 24, Field Piece 24-0, Rescue 26, OFC/TFC Fire Police, HAZ- Mat 30, Several DNREC units, DEL-DOT, D.S.P. and Drakes Towing. Channel 6 News and Delaware Online also made the response
