On Monday April 30, 2012 at 1621 hours the Odessa Fire Company was alerted to assist Station 1/27 (Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown) with an Engine & Rescue for a L3 Mobile Home / Trailer Fire in the Villagebrook Trailer park, Middletown. Station 26 was also alerted for an Engine. Volunteer Hose Fire Chief Baliey (27-8) went on scene with smoke showing but held the up grade. Engine 4 responded with a crew of 5 under Command by Lt-24 Coviello and assisted Station 1/27 crews with hooking-up to the town hydrants for water supply. The fire was knocked down quickly by Volunteer Hose Firefighters and OFC crews assisted with some minor overhaul and packing of a secondary fire attack hose. Rescue 24 responded with a crew of 5 under Command of Firefighter Callaway and stood by for support if needed. Kudos' goes out to the Firefighters who saved two boxer's puppies and one needed oxygen from a special doggie mask that covers their mouth and nose. OFC crews were back in quarters in about an hour after dispatch.
