L3 Residential Fire - 200 Block Guernsey Drive

At 1928 hours, Station 4/24 along with Ladder/Engine Company 1/27, Engine Company 26 & Tanker Company 29 was dispatched for an L3 Residential Fire in the 200 Block of Guernsey Drive, Thomas Cove Development. Engine 4-5 responded at 1930 hours with a crew of 5 firefighters under Command of Captain-4 (Schulze). Fireboard advised Engine 4-5 of an electrical odor inside the residence, 2nd floor Master Bedroom. Rescue-24 responded at 1932 hours with a crew of 5 firefighters under Command of Deputy-24 (Billings). Captain-4 took Guernsey Command and had all unit stage at the entrance of the cul-de-sac with the exception of Rescue-24. Engine 24-3 responded at 1936 hours with a crew of 4 under Command of 24-8B (Getty) and stood by a hydrant. Engine 4-5's crew started to investigate the bedroom with the Thermal Imaging Camera (T.I.C.) and came up with negative results. Deputy-24 took Division 1 Control and had both crew's check the rest of the house including the attic. With all negative results, Command placed the scene under control holding Engine 4-5 & Rescue-24. A special "kudos" goes out to the crew from Tanker-29 (Port Penn) (FF/EMT - A. Stuckert & FF/EMT - J. Williams) who had firefighter moral support at the front door for the OFC crew's inside the residence.
While units were clearing up OFC was dispatched for a Cardiac Arrest in the North Bayberry Development. Engine 24-3 made the response along with Ambulance B-1 and Rescue 1-6 (Volunteer Hose of Middletown). Rescue 1-6 advised no CPR and cleared all units except Ambulance B-1.
