Bicyclist struck / Fireworks Stand bye - RT13/Greylag Rd - Middletown

18:45hrs the OFC, Medic 5, D.S.P. Trooper 4 were dispatched to a M29D2 - M.V.C.- bicyclist struck on DuPont Parkway Southbound at Greylag Road. Rescue/Squad/Engine 4-6, Ambulance 24 and Command 24 all responded 1 minute after dispatch and arrived on scene at 18:48hrs. Captain Eckrich established the command and was advised by the BLS crew to utilize Trooper 4. DuPont Parkway was shut down for over 20 minutes. A person was transported to an area hospital. The scene was placed under control at 19:10hrs.
Units that responded were: Rescue 24, R.E.S.-4. B.L.S. A-24, Command 24(Covellio), Station Fire Police, Medics 5 / 6 and D.S.P Trooper 4.
19:15hrs, Members of the OFC staffed 4-6, 24-0, Van 24 and A-24 and was invited by the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown to stand bye on the east side of Middletown for the 4th of July fireworks display. While on stand bye, OFC units assisted 27-1 with an investigation in the Middletown Crossing development.
