On October 12, 2012 several OFC members & members from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown went to Brick Mill Elementary School & Ceder Lane Early Childhood Center for Fire Prevention. Members talked about the importance of fire safety and stop, drop and roll, told them to ask their parents to check and change the battery in their home smoke detector. Members took the children outside to look at and walk through the fire apparatus that was brought to the school. The children had a blast especially when some put on one of the firefighters gear.
