Nature: L3*Residential Fire
Address: 45 Cole Rd
Location: Meadow Vista, Townsend
Station 26, Engine/Tanker 4/24 and Tower/Engine 1/27 was dispatched by the New Castle County Fireboard for an L3 Residential Fire(69D6) at 45 Cole Road In Townsend. Chief 26(Edie) responded with smoke in the area of the dispatched location and arrived on scene with fire showing from a ranch style home. While en route the NCC Fireboard advised that NCC County Police were on scene with subjects trapped. The box alarm was upgraded to "Work" with R.I.T 45(Clayton), Engine/Ladder44 (Smyrna), Engine KM03(Galena) BLS A-24 and NCC Paramedics M5 being added. Command 24(Getty) in the area arrived and did a primary search of the basement with a crew from Station 27. Tanker 24 with a crew in quarters responded at 12:28hrs and arrived on scene 5th due at 12:41hrs and was assigned to opening the roof. Squad 4 with a crew of 5 arrived 7th due and assisted in overhauling. A primary and second search proved to be negative with EMS checking 1 occupant out. Townsend Command placed the scene under control at 13:08hrs.
OFC Firefighters were in service for over 2 hours.
