Animal Rescue - 200 Block of Ann Drive Crossland
Sunday, May 12, 2013
OFC was alerted at 1015 hours on May 12 to a animal rescue (cat suck in a storm drain). A-24 responded and found a Siamese cat about 4 foot off, from Ann Drive, in the storm drain and it was about 40 feet long. Assistant Chief Trincia & EMS Lieutenant Rogers put the cat's owner, house hose, into the storm drain to flush her out to the owners son, Ethan, at the other end. 29-4 (AKA Engine 4-5) stopped by to offer their assistance, which was much appreciated. Ginger "the Siamese cat" was wrapped up in a bath towel by Ethan and both were happy to be together in the comfort of their home.
