On Friday evening the OFC was dispatched for a Chimney Fire in the 500 block of High Street, in Odessa. Tanker 24 was on the street responding with a crew of five, as the building siren was winding up for its last cycle. The Tanker arrived in under a minute with 24-8C (Trincia Jr) assuming command. A 360 size up was completed, occupants evacuated and suppression efforts underway as truck, Tower 27 arrived. The truck company made quick access to the roof and extinguished the chimney fire while the tanker and squad crews worked in the living room on the fireplace hearth. OFC units: Tanker 24, Rescue 24, Squad 4-6, Command 24 and A24 were support by truck company and engine company units from Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown and the Townsend Fire Company. All companies were in service for one hour.
