On July 1, 2016, the Odessa Fire Company was alerted to assist the Townsend Fire Company Station 26 on an MVC with entrapment on DuPont Parkway at Pine Tree Road. Rescue-24 responded with a crew of 5 and assisted Townsend Firefighters with the removal of 2 people who were trapped in a vehicle for about 25 minutes. Both people were transported to Christiana Hospital for evaluation and care. Rescue-24 was in service for a total of 45 minutes. Great teamwork by both fire companies and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police.
