On February 23, 2017 at 0710 hours the Odessa Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Route 1 southbound near the Harris Road gate. Engine 24 arrived to find fire in the engine compartment of the vehicle. The scene was ultimately turned over to the Delaware State Police.
