On August 17, 2017 at 1355 hours the Odessa Fire Company, along with several mutual aid assets, were alerted for an MVC on Route 1 southbound at the toll plaza for a major MVC with multiple vehicles overturned. Units on scene handled multiple patients with a variety of injuries. All injured parties were taken to area hospitals for evaluation and treatment. OFC units operated on scene for approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. Scene was turned over to Delaware State Police.
