On December 27, 2017 the Odessa Fire Company, along with mutual aid assets, were alerted for a residential structure fire with a report of a clothes dryer on fire. Fire units from Port Penn Fire Company arrived on scene and quickly knocked the fire down. OFC units arrived on scene and conducted overhaul and checked for extension with negative results. The damaged dryer was removed from the residence. The scene was placed under control and all units cleared. Units on scene operated for about 1 hour.
