On February 6, 2018 the OFC was alerted for a vehilce fire. Assistant Chief Allen arrived on scene and confirmed vehilce on fire in the westbound shoulder of route 299. Enginer 24 arrived on scene and quickly went to work. The fire was completely extinguished within a few minutes. Crews continued to overhaul the vehicle until all hot spots were doused. The scene was placed under control and turned over to Middletown Police.
