The Odessa Fire Company along with mutual aid fire department's were dispatched to a residential fire within the Town of Odessa around 130am on February 22, 2020. Engine-24 arrived first on scene reporting heavy fire through the roof and a report of a person still inside the residence. Crews from Engine-24 went into the house to conduct a search but found no one inside and switched to an interior fire attack being assisted by arriving multual aid fire departments. Firefighters spent the next 5 hours trying to extinguish this fire as the temperature dropped to frezzing levels making it a little slick to walk around. The mutual aid Fire Departments that assisted the Odessa fire Company are Volunteer Hose (Station 1 & 27), Townsend (Station 26), Port Penn (Station 29), Citizens Hose (Station 44) & Clayton Fire Companies (Station 45). Little Creek Fire Company (Station 54) stood by our Station in case another call came in for our district.
