Yesterday Sunday November 22, 2020 was a busy day for the Odessa Fire Company Firefighters.
1. At 0939 hours Station 4/24 was dispatched for a general fire alarm in the 600 Block Socrates Street in the village of Bayberry North.
2. At 1442 hours Station 4/24 was alerted to stand by Station 26 (Townsend Fire Company) while they were on the working fire in the Clayton area.
3. At 1644 hours Station 4/24 along with Port Penn, Middletown, Delaware City & Townsend Fire Companies was dispatched for a house fire in the 200 block Acorn Drive in great Oak Farms
4. At 1755 hours Station 4/24 along with Port Penn, Middletown, Delaware City & Townsend Fire Companies was dispatched for a house fire in the 300 block Tiger Lily Drive High Hook Farms,
The 4th call resulted in a active fire in the kitchen which was quickly extingushed by OFC & Port Penn Firefighters. The stove and upper cabinetry area sustained minor damage and the fire is currently being investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshall's Office.
A total of 39 Odessa Fire Company Firefighters responded or were at the Stations for all 4 calls.
