On Friday just after 2pm, the Odessa Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletowon on a Large Commercial trash truck on fire behind the Acme in Middletown. Upon Engine-24 arrival, Middletown Command request Engine-24 to pull up in front of Rescue-27. Engine-24 supplied Rescue-27 with water and the crew assisted with fire suppressions. The trash truck emptied their load in the rear of the building rear parking lot where the fire suppression took place. Engine-24 was in service for a little over an hour.
