Cadets

The Odessa Fire Company graduated seven Cadets (ages 14-17) from Delaware State Fire Schools “Basic Firefighting Skills”. Students learned skills in hose handling, ropes & knots, power equipment, ground ladders, fire behavior, self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), and more. The course requires students to be in good physical shape to complete intense simulations. OFC's Cadets completed the requirements while being active in school sports/activities, maintaining Honor Roll status at their respective schools and participating in weekly training exercises.
The Odessa Fire company transitioned the Cadets from a yellow helmet to a permanent Black Helmet at their regular Company Meeting on Monday, April 10th. The Odessa Cadet Leadership, led by Jennifer Adams and Mark Bendler, would like to congratulate: Rohan Sreeram, Zachary Bailey, Logan Fagley, Kylie Bendler, Noah Hoff, Arjun Bharath, and Matt Short for a job well done.
Thank you to the Officers and Members of Odessa Fire Company, Delaware State Fire School instructors, and parents who helped guide these young men and women towards successful futures.
